Ram Prasad Bismil was an Indian revolutionary and poet who participated in the struggle against British colonial rule. He was involved in the Kakori conspiracy of 1925 and was one of the revolutionaries executed for it; he is also remembered as a Urdu and Hindi poet who wrote under pen names including 'Bismil'.
