Swami Vivekananda was an Indian Hindu monk, philosopher and a chief disciple of the mystic Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. He was a key figure in introducing Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising interfaith awareness. He founded the Ramakrishna Mission and the Ramakrishna Math.
