About
Rabindranath Tagore was a Bengali poet, writer, composer, philosopher and painter from India. He became the first non-European and first Indian to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, awarded in 1913 for his collection Gitanjali. He composed the national anthems of India and Bangladesh.
